Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Serik Akhmetov has signed a government decree on days off in May, the PM’s official website writes.

“To create good conditions for rest and rational use of the work time, the day off shall be moved from Saturday May 4 to Friday May 10, 2013,” the message states. Thus, Kazakhstan residents will have 4 days off on the Victory Day from May 9 to 12.

“In line with the Decree, the companies that are provided with labor, material and financial resources for production of goods, rendering services, including financial ones, as well as for putting construction facilities into service, shall have a right to work on May 10, 2013 with an approval from their trade unions. The work on that day shall be paid in line with the acting legislation of Kazakhstan,” the Prime-Minister’s press-service writes.
