2000 police officers to protect tourists at Issyk-Kul

Over 4 thousand policemen and security officers will be providing security during the tourist season in Kyrgyzstan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing first deputy Interior Minister of Kyrgyzstan Baktybek Alymbekov as saying at the opening of the 14th International Tourist Fair in Issyk-Kul oblast.

Interior Minister of Kyrgyzstan Zarylbek Ryssaliyev has issued a decree and personnel of the Interior Ministry is getting ready for the tourist season at Issyk-Kul lake. “Hot lines will be working. People will be able to use them to report violations,” Baktybek Alymbekov said.

“Besides, mobile police posts have been removed this year to ensure unobstructed flow of tourists’ transport to sanatoriums and resorts. The inspectors will be working on stationary posts only. There will be billboards with telephone numbers that should be used to report violations by police officers in case any occur,” he added. Baktybek Alymbekov also noted that all the crimes committed during last tourist season were solved. All the guilty persons were brought to responsibility.
