Nazarbayev named priorities for Kazakhstan army

Nursultan Nazarbayev has congratulated Kazakhstan residents on the Defender’s Day, Tengrinews.kz reports from Akorda, where Kazakhstan President awarded outstanding militarymen and officers of law-enforcement authorities, national security forces and the Ministry of Emergency Situations personnel.

“Our Armed Forces are becoming more respected by our people. In spite of the difficulties we spend a lot of money on our army providing our personnel with everything required for military service and timely trainings. And you have to appreciate it,” the President said.

Nazarbayev noted that much is done in the country to provide Kazakhstan Armed Forces will up-to-date equipment.

“KADEX exhibition shows the interest to our country and our interest to the armament of other countries. Our goal is to create a compact and powerful army ready to counter any attempts to violate our borders, independence and peaceful lives of our people. Our militarymen have to constantly sharpen their skills and be always ready to answer the call of their Motherland. We are holding the awarding ceremony and the meeting on the Defender’s Day and prior to another great holiday: the 67th anniversary of the Victory. Our fathers and grandfathers did their part and safeguarded us. We created the independent nation thanks to them. Let’s be worthy of the heroic deeds of our forefathers and fathers,” the President said addressing the militarymen.
