Kazakhstan Navy will get mobile ships deployment complex in 2013

Kazakhstan Navy has ordered a mobile deployment complex able to accept the ships at unequipped shores, similar to the one recently put into service by Russian Navy, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports citing the representative of Kompas Moscow Construction Bureau Vladimir Pepelyayev. “We are currently working on the order of Kazakhstan Navy. The contract provides for its construction within one year. A lot of countries are interested in our product. For example, French Navy urgently needs such complex for its boat base at unequipped African shore. Such complexes are frequently ordered by yachtsmen for yacht seasons. Russian fleet also has one mobile complex, but a short one. We are waiting for a decision of Russian Navy on ordering full-scale mobile complexes for the fleet,” Pepelyayev said. According to him, the complex costs much less than the stationary one. It can be installed in a short period of time (less than 30 days) at an unequipped shore to make it usable for docking ships and boats. The complex’s set depends on the conditions of basing and the client’s requirements. It includes optional pontoons made of metal or concrete. They can be equipped with all ship support systems, including electricity and water. The pontoon can also have a hangar for helicopters, a control center, barracks and a workshop. The pontoon is also supplied with a mobile communications center and a security and defense system.
