Oil production in Kazakhstan grew 4% in 2 months

In January-February 2011 Kazakhstan produced 4.1% more crude that during the similar period of 2010.
Output of coal, natural gas and metallic ores also increased, Tengrinews.kz reports referring to press-service of the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan.

According to the Agency, 11.4 million tons of crude has been produced in January-February 2011. 5.3 million tons was produced in February.

In 2010 Kazakhstan produced almost 80 million tons of crude – 4.2% more that in 2009. 71.2 million tons was exported.
Kazakhstan’s oil production target for 2011 is set at 81 million tons.

Another indicator of Kazakhstan’s successful emergency from the economic crisis that that production of food, drinks, construction material, chemicals, metallurgical and heavy engineering products increased in 15 regions of Kazakhstan during the first two months of the year. While a slight decrease was recorded only in Kyzylorda Oblast.
