Kazakhstan has 61 visa-free destinations: Visa Restriction Index 2014

Kazakhstan has been ranked 66th along with Cuba, Ghana and Belarus in the Visa Restriction Index 2014 with 61 visa-free travel destinations, Tengrinews reports referring to Idea Lab. It is followed by Georgia and Zimbabwe with 61 destinations.

Henley & Partnersthe global leader in residence and citizenship planning, along with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which maintains the world’s largest database of travel information conducted an analysis of visa regulations of 219 countries and formed the ranking according to the number of visa-free destinations the countries’ citizens enjoy. 

Generally, European countries are in the top of the ranking. Finland, Sweden and United Kingdom are the leaders of the ranking, enjoying visa-free travel to 173 destinations, followed by United States, Denmark, Luxemburg and Germany with 172 visa-free travel destinations.

Belgium, Italy and Netherlands close the top three with 170 countries to which their citizens have visa-free access.

Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Somalia are in the other end of the list with the lowest number of visa-free opportunities: 25-30 visa-free destinations.

The best ranking CIS (post-Soviet space) countries are Russia - its citizens enjoy visa-free access to 95 destinations - and Ukraine with 77 destinations.
