Kazakhstan Oil and Gas Ministry lowers gas production forecast

Kazakhstan Oil and Gas Ministry has lowered the forecast on production of natural and associated gas in Kazakhstan during the period until 2016, KazTAG reports citing the government decree published in official media on April 10. According to the amendments to the Ministry’s strategic plan for 2011-2015, Kazakhstan plans to produce 40.5 billion cubic meters of gas in 2013, 41 billion cubic meters in 2014 and 45 billion cubic meters in 2015. Earlier Oil and Gas Ministry forecast gas production at the level of 52.9 billion cubic meters in 2013, 55.8 billion cubic meters in 2014 and 59.3 billion cubic meters in 2015. Production of natural gas made 40.3 billion cubic meters in 2012 (+1.8 percent).
