Measures on countering illegal migration will be enhanced at Kazakhstan borders, Tengrinews.kz reports citing press-service of Interior Transport Department.

The new authority will be operating at the borders with Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in connection with Kazakhstan's membership in the Customs Union. New division will be tackling illegal migration.

“Head of Interior Transport Department signed a decree on creation of the special division on countering illegal migration employing 30 people. This was made in relation to transfer of customs posts from Kazakhstan-Russian border to the external borders of the Customs Union to enhance migration control at railroad transport facilities,” the press-service stated.

The new division will be located at the stations Arys-15, Makat-10 and Merke-5. 5 employees of the new forces have already been appointed. People are sent to the locations. Selection of other candidates for this service is underway.
