Kazakhstan General Prosecution Office and Russia's Investigation Committee agreed to cooperate

Kazakhstan General Prosecution Office and Russia's Investigation Committee agreed on cooperation, Tengrinews.kz reports citing press-service of Kazakhstan General Prosecution Office.

“Draft Agreement on cooperation between Kazakhstan General Prosecution Office and Russia's Investigation Committee that is on a completion stage oapprovable was the main topic of the meeting,” the press-service said.

According to the document, exchange of experience in investigation of terrorism- and extremism-related crimes, economic and high-tech crimes, as well as other types of crimes posing high threat to the society is tagged priority directions of the interaction.

Besides, both authorities are planning to hold joint consultations, scientific research, seminars, experts meetings and other educational programs that may enrich and improve qualification of the experts of both countries and create opportunities for professional experience exchange between the two authorities. Kazakhstan General Prosecution Office and Russia's Investigation Committee confirmed their interest in the soonest signing of this document.

Askhat Daulbayev (General Prosecutor of Kazakhstan) and Aleksandr Bastyrkin (Chairman of Russia's Investigation Committee) noted that implementation of modern strategic tasks on provision of regional security requires well-coordinated interaction of law-enforcement authorities of both countries.
