Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said that Belarus is ready to supply military equipment to Kazakhstan, KazTAG reports. “We have well-established production of military equipment, military helicopters and we will be able to easily equip your army. Kazakhstan expressed interest in our plants and factories and is planning to buy military equipment from us,” Lukashenko said during a meeting with professors and students of Gumilyov Eurasian National University. Aleksandr Lukashenko did not specify the volumes and terms of the planned procurements of military equipment. “We will be selling you equipment and training your people. We will do everything to strengthen Kazakhstan's defense capability,” he added answering the students' questions. As per Lukashenko, training of Kazakh military personnel in Belarus was discussed in the meeting with Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev. “We have trained 300 military men (for Kazakhstan army) in the last two years,” Belarus President said. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko arrived in Kazakhstan on May 23 with a three-day official visit. The plan was to discuss cooperation through interstate integration bodies and the Customs Union in particular.
