Kazakhstan is nearing No.100 in Facebook

Facebook monthly counts show that Kazakhstan is in the 102nd place by the number of Facebook users. 270 480 people in Kazakhstan have got accounts in Facebook. The number of users in Kazakhstan increased by 28 280 during the past month. This boosted the rating upward 11.79 percent. The majority of Facebook users in Kazakhstan are between 18 and 34 years old. The popular global social network links users from 213 countries of the world. Russia is 25th, but Kazakhstan’s Central Asian neighbors are lagging far behind: Uzbekistan – 143rd, Kyrgyzstan – 159th, Tajikistan – 186th and Turkmenistan – 190th by the number of users, Facebook statistics shows. The United States is an unquestionable leader with half its population involved with Facebook: 152 189 880 users. It is followed by Indonesia with a huge gap: 35 174 940 users. Vatican City is has the least number of registered Facebook users – 40 users. It is rated 213th. Facebook is the most popular social network in the world. It was created in 2004. Its ‘population’ is currently as at about 600 million users. The cost of Facebook is estimated at $65 billion.
