Halo Online to be open for Kazakhstani gamers

Saber Interactive and 343 Industries have made free-to-play Halo Online FPS available to Kazakhstan and other former Soviet countries, Tengrinews reports citing IGN Russia.

Former Xbox exclusive Halo now extends to PC. According to Innova, Halo Online will be available in beta version in Kazakhstan, Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Ukraine Uzbekistan, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Moldova, Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

The new game, according to IGN.ca, features new environment, bubble shields for protection, flashy armour with features altering properties of the armour and possibly an additional new locations. Halo Online's visuals are reminiscent of Halo 3 or Halo: Reach, which can be attributed to the shared Halo 3 engine the games were built on.

Foreigners without the knowledge of Russian interested in the beta version have instructions available online. However, foreign gamers from outside the region will be blocked from Halo Online via IP.

Halo: Combat Evolved military science fiction first-person shooter video game was developed by Bungie and published by Microsoft in 2001. The game is considered the Xbox’s killer application with the franchise sales exceeding 50 million copies sold worldwide and grossing $3.4 billion. Currently, Halo 5: Guardians is under development for Xbox One.
