Kazakhstan Minister of Agriculture Assylzhan Mamytbekov said that one million of cows registered in the reports do not exist at all, Express K reports.

“On paper we can see a sharp decrease of the number of cattle in relation to the identification held recently. It turned out that these cows are sort of ‘virtual’. We found that we have 12 percent less cattle than we thought we did: around 5 million instead of 6 million,” the Minister said.

Mamytbekov added that despite of the mistakes in the documents the number of cattle has grown 15-20 percent in Kazakhstan in the past decade.
