Pfizer pharmaceutical giant will invest in development of clinical test centers in Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the regional director of Kaznex Invest Altynay Arapova.

“We have started cooperating with many companies in the U.S., Great Britain, Poland and France. This year Kaznex Invest has successfully attracted Pfizer. This is a global giant in pharmaceutics. During the 6th Astana Economic Forum we signed a memorandum that the company will start investing in development of clinical test centers (in Kazakhstan),” Arapova said.

According to her, this will enable Kazakhstan to produce more clinically testes original medicines. Besides, the company will invest in education of Kazakhstan researchers, Arapova said. The plan is also to sign an agreement with another giant company, GlaxoSmithKline from Great Britain.

“They will train our experts abroad at their own expense. We also plan to start producing vaccines. This company specializes in vaccines. They produce over 30 types of vaccines. They are the leaders in this sector. They want to train our experts to work with their vaccines in the first 2-3 years,” she said.
