Kazakhstan’s chief sanitary doctor Zhandarbek Bekshin refuted information on swine flu cases detected in South Kazakhstan oblast, Tengrinews.kz reports. Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported about three pregnant women diagnosed with H1N1.

“We have only registered seasonal flu, only seasonal ones,” Bekshin stressed at the briefing on January 24. “If I’m not mistaken, flu rate went 1.8 times down compared to the last year.
