Kazakhstan’s gross foreign debt as of September 30, 2012 made up $134.9 billion

Kazakhstan’s gross foreign debt as of September 30, 2012 made up $134.9 billion as compared to $125.2 billion as of the start of 2012, the country’s National Bank reported late December.

According to the Bank’s Press Service, foreign debt of the banking sector for the period from January to September 2012 fell down by 3.9% to $14.03 billion.

The share of public and publicly guaranteed debt decreased from 4.4% to 4.1% of the overall gross foreign debt, with non-guaranteed debts growing from 95.6% to 95.9%.

As of October 1, 2012, intercompany debt stood at 48.8% of the overall foreign debt.
