13.75 billion tenge ($91.7 million) has been allocated from the state budget for procurement of grain for Kazakhstan's national reserve in Kazakhstan, KazTAG reports. The governmental decree dated April 15, 2013 ordering the procurement was published in the official media on July 27. The decree came in effect on the date of signing. “The Kazakhstan government herewith decrees that the budget funding of procurement of grain of the 2013 harvest for the national reserves shall make: 6.9 billion tenge ($45.8 million) for the spring-summer season and 6.9 billion tenge ($45.8 million) for the autumn,” the decree says. If any unused funds remain from the spring-summer financing, they will be used to procure grain in autumn. Kazakhstan Agriculture Minister has been appointed to supervise implementation of the decree.
