$758 million will be spent on the construction of an arena and installation of utility lines.

The estimated cost of the smaller Ice Rink for 3 thousand seats is $127 million. $210 million have been budgeted for the construction of the Athletes' Village.

“The construction of the venues will be completed by October 2016. It means that by November 1, all three venues will be completed. Also, utilities network will be built as a part of neighbourhoods’ development and expansion of the city: electric power supply networks worth $47 million, heat supply network worth $73 million, water supply network and sewer system worth $58 million. The Universiade venues will be connected to these networks. Approximately $758 million will be spend on the project,” Arymbayev said.

The construction is fully funded from the state budget. However, $758 million is only a preliminary amount of funds needed for the the Universiade. The total budget has not been disclosed yet and is expected to be greater. As reported earlier, three construction firms are involved in the building of the Universiade venues.
