Nazarbayev laid wreath in Tallinn

Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan, laid a wreath to the Monument of Victory at the Freedom Square as part of this official visit to Talinn, Estonia, Akorda presidential website reported. The monument is a concrete column, covered with glass panels, topped by the Cross of Freedom. Freedom Cross is the highest Estonian Order established in 1919. Initially it was an award for Estonian nationals who distinguished themselves in Estonian liberation war of 1918-1920. Later President Nazarbayev attended a state reception held on behalf of President of Estonia Toomas Ilves and his spouse. In the course of his official visit President of Kazakhstan discussed strengthening of interparliamentary cooperation, provision of electronic services to population, establishment of a regular flight connection between Estonia and Kazakhstan, strengthening of partnership between the University of Tartu and Nazarbayev University.
