Mi-8 helicopter crashed in Atyrau oblast, Interfax-Kazakhstan writes.

The helicopter made an emergency landing 20-25 km from Atyrau at the Caspian shore, the oblast's Emergency Situations Department told Interfax-Kazakhstan.

“The helicopter is lying on one side, there is no fuel spill. Another KazAviaSpas helicopter was dispatch to the accident site shortly after the crash,” the agency’s speaker said.

No casualties were reported initially, but later Atyrau oblast Emergency Situations Department told Tengrinews.kz that 2 people were injured in the accident.

They were delivered to the hospital. According to the Department’s press-service, one of them is in the injury care center and the second person's injuries are much lighter. Emergency Situations Department’s investigative group is currently working at the accident site.

Meanwhile, Vyacheslav Chapurin, Director General of KazAir West that owns the helicopter, talks about one victim only. There were a total of 6 people on board, according to him.

KazAir West is a private company performing corporate transportation and aviation support of the projects related to minerals productions.
