There are 202 kindergartens in Almaty, including 4 large kindergartens built in 2010. Special priority is going to be attached to development of preschool education in 2012.

According to Tuleubek Mukashev, Almaty Maslikhat (municipal administration) secretary, it is very difficult to open a private preschool institution in Almaty, because requirements are very high.
