4.1-magnitude quake hits 220km from Almaty

4.1-magnitude earthquake hit Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the Seismological Research-Methodical Expedition of Kazakhstan Ministry of Education and Science. The shocks were registered at 07:40 a.m. Astana time on February 26. The hypocenter was at the depth of 10km. The epicenter was 220km south-east of Almaty. No casualties were reported. Another 3.4-magnitude earthquake was registered at the territory of Kazakhstan at 04:35 p.m. Astana time on February 25. The hypocenter was at the depth of 5km. The epicenter was 236km south-east of Almaty.
