Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport and Communications has revoked aviation certificates of 3 airlines, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the Ministry’s press-service.

“As a result of the re-certification held by the Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport and Communications and ICAO, the aviation activities certificates were recalled from D.E.T.A. Air, MEGA and KazAir West companies,” the message states.

The decision was made because of the companies’ noncompliance with the certification requirements. “The certificates of another 5 companies have been suspended (Samal Air, Asia Continental Airlines, Euro-Asia International, Semeiavia and Irtysh-Air) as significant violations were found during the certification check, in particular, lack of the required staff, flight documents and engineering-technical coverage,” the Ministry added.

Should these five companies fail to eliminate the violations by August 1, their certificates will also be voided.

The re-certification of the airlines and aircrafts making commercial flights started in March. The total of 32 airlines, 29 maintenance companies and 73 aircrafts have been re-certified so far.
