Kazakhstan actors have finished dubbing Disney/Pixar Monsters University animation film into Kazakh. Children from Orphanage No.1 in Baganashil took part in the project along with professional actors, Tengrinews.kz reports.

Three boys and two girls aged 10-11 dubbed the scene when little monsters arrived to the University for the first time. Casting of children’s voices was arranged in due form and every voice was selected by Disney/Pixar Studios. Dubbing director Aizhan Shamshitova said that it was easier to work with children than with adult actors. “Children are so sincere, so all it takes is to explain them what to do,” she said.

Director of Bolashak Charitable Foundation Dinara Chaizhunussova said that children’s participation in the project could inspire them to continue into cinema and theater industries in future. “I am glad that children took part in the project. It is very exciting to see their eyes flashing with excitement while they are doing their best at sound recording in professional studio,” she said.

The main character of the animation, a shaggy monster with short antlers and blue hair James P. Sullivan was dubbed by Ruslan Senkebayev, Auezov theater actor. Mike Wazowski (one-eyed monster with a head instead of a body) was dubbed by actor Dulyga Akmolda (Birzhan Sal movie) and actress Lidiya Kaden made voice-over for dean Hardscrabble, new character of the prequel.

Turysbek Sauketayev and Saltanat Dungenbayeva adapted translation of the movie into Kazakh for dubbing. (Monsters University will be released in Kazakhstan in Russian and in Kazakh on June 20. Children from orphan houses were invited for the premiere of the animation. Bolashak association and MARWIN company supported by Altyn Kyran Charitable Foundation arranged the dubbing of the movie.
