Kazakhstan singer awarded special prize at Slavianski Bazaar 2013

Kazakhstan's young singer Berdibek Kulgarayev has received a special prize at the 22nd International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar 2013 in Vitebsk, Belarus, Tengrinews.kz reports. The singer was awarded with the Song is a Way to Fraternity prize of MIR intentional TV company. Berdibek performed the song Tvoi Sledi (Your footprint) of famous singer Muslim Magomayev in the Slavic Song competition and Kim Bilgen (Who knew) by famous Kazakh composer Yerzhan Serikbayev in the National Song competition. His first show was evaluated with 85 points and he was in the 8th place. Berdibek was given 92 points for his second performance. After two days of the festival he scored 177 points and took the 7th place. Polish Michal Kaczmarek was awarded the Grand Prix of the Slavianski Bazaar 2013. Beside the Lyre and Diploma of the Grand Prix Winner, Polish singer also received $15 000 prize. It was the first time when a singer from Poland won the main prize of the festival. The first prize and $9 000 went to Sabrina from Croatia. Moldova's Eugeny Andrianov and Georgia's Archil shared the second prize and $6 000. And the third prize was given to Kristi from Romania and Alexander Solovyov from Belarus. Both were leaders on the first day but failed to get enough points on the second day. Famous Russian pop star Larisa Dolina chaired the jury at the festival. Singer Yerlan Kokeyev represented Kazakhstan in the jury at the Slavianski Bazaar 2013. Kazakhstan was represented by Daria Gabdull, winner of X-Factor Kazakhstan project at the International Pop Song Performers Contest Slavianski Bazaar 2012. Alisher Karimov from Kazakhstan won the third place at the contest in 2011. This year organizers invited Alisher to perform at the opening ceremony as a guest singer.
