Kazakh duo to present classical concert for Valentine's Day05 february 2015, 01:05
Violinist Amir Bisengaliyev and pianist Akmaral Kazhgaliyeva will will be presenting their concert of selected love pieces "Romantic cocktail of miniatures" for St. Valentine's Day in Almaty, Tengrinews reports.
The concert will take place on February 14 at 6:30pm. The ticket cost is 1500 tenge ($8). the Philharmonia is located at #23 Tole bi street (crossing of Kaldayakov street).
This is not the first collaboration of these two Kazakh musicians and, hopefully, not the last. Both have won international competitions and performed across Kazakhstan.
Pianist Akmaral Kazhgalieva graduated from Almaty-based Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy. She participated in a number of international and domestic competitions both as piano soloist and concertmaster.
Amir Bisengaliyev, a nephew of the famous violinist Marat Bisengaliyev, has shown his talent early in his childhood. He was was performing with a symphonic orchestra as early as at the age of nine. In 1998 the talented musician traveled to London, where he eventually stayed for 10 years. Under the guidance of his uncle, Amir went on to win Derby Arts, Wharfedale Music. He also became the youngest winner for the past 100 years in the competition Mrs. Sunderland Competition. Participation in the International festival in Wales "Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod" brought Amir a golden medal and the title of “Instrumentalist of 1999”.
After the win he recorded a solo disk released by Black Box record company in 2000.
In 2009 Amir graduated from the Royal College of Music and returned home to Kazakhstan. Today, he is a soloist of the Kazakh State Philharmonia.
