Kazakh awarded at Bulgaria singing contest29 may 2015, 14:01
Kazakhstani singer Nursultan Karabaliyev has been awarded at the XXIV International Competition of Young Singers Discovery, which took place from 15 to 18 May in the Bulgarian city of Varna, Tengrinews reports.
Karabaliyev was awarded the third place following a vote of the jury and the audience for his performance of Ansarym song. He is taking home a bronze statuette, a diploma and a monetary prize. The jury praised his voice and artistry.
Karabaliyev received an invitation to the Euro Pop Festival, which will take place in Macedonia this year.
The second place went to the singer Siro Mayo of Spain and the first - to Dino from Croatia.
Nursultan is the winner of the "Silver Wing" national competition "Zhas Kanat-2014." He also won the Grand Prix at the national song contest "An zhuregіm-Astana." This is the song dedicated to Astana:
He graduated from the Music College named after Kurmangazy in Uralsk, and is now studying in the fourth year of the Kazakh National University of Arts. He is currently recording his first album and making a video for Anashym song.
This is not the first Kazakhstani to be awarded at Discovery in Bulgaria. In 2004, Altynay Zhorabayeva was awarded the Grand Prix at the festival.
