Harmony Lessons awarded with Golden Unicorn at International Film Festival in France

Kazakhstan film Harmony Lessons by film director Emir Baigazin has been awarded with Grand-Prix Golden Unicorn at the 33th International Film Festival in France, Tengrinews reports citing the press-service of Kazakhfilm studios.

The movie also received a money prize in the amount of 10 thousand euro to be spent on promotion and distribution of Harmony Lessons in France. The film's actor Timur Aidabekov gained the Best Actor prize. Emir Baigazin did not arrive to the film festival, so Arizona Films representative Thomas Benedicte took the prize for him.

The films of the main program were evaluated by the jury, chaired by French film director Stephane Brize. The jury also included actress Sonia Rolland, screenwriter Helene Ruault, cameraman Gerard de Battista and film editor Nicolas Sarkissian.

The Amiens Festival took place on November 8-16, 2013 in Amiens, France.

The Amiens International Film Festival (Festival international du film d'Amiens) is an annual special-interest film festival focusing on the cinemas of Europe, Africa and Latin America. The festival has been held annually in Amiens, France, since 1980. It is among the most prestigious film festival and one the main culture events in France. The film festival is hosting more than 60 thousand guests and more than 200 film professionals from all around the world every year.
