Based in Los Angeles, California, K2 Promotions was established in 2003 by managing director Tom Loeffler. K2 Promotions currently promotes the unified heavyweight champions, Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko. On April 24, 2004, K2 Promotions promoted their first show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles where Vitali Klitschko won the vacant WBC Heavyweight Championship defeating South Africa’s Corrie Sanders by 8th round TKO.
Over the last decade, K2 Promotions has promoted the most heavyweight championship title bouts of any promoter worldwide. K2 Promotions is one of Boxing’s most respected promoters showcasing boxing’s biggest events at some of the world’s premier venues such as Staples Center, Mandalay Bay, Madison Square Garden, O2 World Arena (Berlin), KolnArena (Cologne), as well as the largest soccer stadiums in Germany featuring the Imtech Arena (Hamburg), Commerzbank-Arena (Frankfurt), ESPRIT Arena (Dusseldorf), Veltins-Arena (Schalke), and recently the Municipal Stadium in Wroclaw, Poland.
K2 Promotions works with a number of television networks where their shows are televised on RTL, HBO, Showtime, BSKYB, EPIX, and ESPN2. The Klitschko fights are broadcasts in over 100 countries worldwide.
