Kazakhstan Interior Minister instructed police officers to get rid of fat bellies, Tengrinews.kz reports citing deputy head of the human resources department of Astana Interior Department Alpysbai Tashmagambetov.
“A meeting was recently held in the Interior Ministry where a task was given to heads of interior authorities: the employees whose physical condition does not comply with the standards will be fired. That’s why all the employees have to become physically fit and get rid of their bellies,” Alpysbai Tashmagambetov told Tengrinews.kz on the sidelines of the meeting on the coming performance review of Astana law-enforcement authorities.
According to Tashmagambetov, the outer appearance of police officers will be considered during the coming performance review. Three thousand employees of Astana Interior Department will undergo the review and testing: investigation department’s officers, administration police, road police officers and patrol policemen. They will take a computer test on laws and logic, take a physical and military training and undergo an interview on psychological stability.
