The Astana Arlans continue their victorious 5th season in the World Series Boxing. The Wolves tore apart Argentina Condors 4:1 in San Luis, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

In the first fight of the night, the light flyweight (-49 kg) Kazakh boxer Zhomart Yerzhanov, 21, fought against Junior Leandro Zarate. It was Yerzhanov's second time in the WSB ring. Earlier, he debuted against Dawid Sebastian Jagodzinski from Raffako Hussars. Faster Zarate defeated his Kazakh opponent 49:46, 48:47, 49:46.

The AIBA Bronze World Champion Kairat Yeraliev faced Jonathan Emanuel Sanchez in the bantamweight division (56 kg). Yeraliev of Kazakhstan debuted in the fight against the boxer from Italian Thunder Michael Conlan. Yeraliev clearly dominated the ring winning Sanchez with 50:45, 50:45, 49:46 points.

In the third fight of the night, Samat Bashenov, the experienced captain of the Kazakh Wolves took on Lucas Ivan Gimenez in the light welterweight (-64 kg). So far, Bashenov has had a beautiful season with 5 victories and 0 losses. Less experienced Gimenez did not stand a chance against the Best Asian WSB Boxer of 2013 Bashenov. The captain won with the score of 50:45, 50:45, 50:45.

Next, Zhanibek Alimkhanuly faced Christian Zarate in the middleweight division (-75 kg). The 2013 AIBA World Boxing Champion started his début season in the WSB with the Kazakh club by outclassing his Puerto Rican opponent Jeffrey Flan Guillen. This time in Argentina, Alimkhanuly sent Zarate to a knockdown in the first round and continued pumelling his opponent throughout the remaining four rounds. As a result, the Kazakh boxer won his second bout in the WSB (45:49, 45:49, 46:48).

The final bout of the night in the heavyweight division (+91) brought the undefeated Vasiliy Levit against Diego Daniel Blanche. Levit control the ring from the first round. In fact, the Kazakhstani heavyweight did not need more than that to claim another victory. Levit TKOed Blanche in the middle of the second round marking the 7th consecutive victory and the5th TKO. His victory over the Argentinian earned Levit the first place in the WSB heavyweight rating and, more importantly, a spot in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

“I’m happy to bring the second Olympic Games spot to Kazakhstan. It has been our goal since the very beginning of the season. As you may know, Kazakhstan in all the years of its Independence (since 1991) has not had a heavyweight boxer at the Olympics. That is why I’m even happier to win my ticket to Rio. I had to fight in all 7 bouts and win them all to beat the Cuban heavyweight who had the same scores in the individual ranking. To be honest when I got in the ring, I did not feel particularly overwhelmed with responsibility. We always get in the ring to win. I fought as I usually do. I just did my job. Only after the fight, when my coach congratulated me won my Olympic quota, I realized that we managed to reach the main goal,” Levit said after the fight via Kazakhstansky Box.

The Arlans of Kazakhstan earned their victory over Argentina Condors 4:1 and a ticket to the Olympics.

The Wolves then traveled to Italy to face the Italian Thunder on April 25.
