Olympics: Speed-skater Roman Krech 7th in men's 500m race

Kazakhstan's speed-skater Roman Krech has become 7th after two men's 500 meters races at the Winter Olympic Games 2014 in Sochi, Russia, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz. The speed-skater completed the first race in 35.04 seconds, finishing it in the 9th place, and covered the second 500-meter-distance in 35 seconds advancing to the 7th place. Michel Mulder from the Netherlands won the gold medal in men's 500 meters races at the Sochi Winter Olympics 2014. Earlier, Kazakhstan's biathlete Yan Savitsky won the 29th place in the men's 12.5km pursuit. French athlete Martin Fourcade won the gold; he covered the 12.5km distance in 33 minutes and 48.6 seconds with missed only one shot at the Winter Olympics. Another representative of Kazakhstan Sergei Naumik is in the 58th place in the men's pursuit.
