Kazakhstani karate team wins gold, silver and bronze in Incheon

Kazakhstani karateka Khalid Khalidov won a bronze medal at the Asian Games in Incheon, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.


Kazakhstani karateka Khalid Khalidov won a bronze medal at the Asian Games in Incheon, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

In the fight for the bronze medal in the +84 kg weight league, Khalidov won over his Turkmen opponent Aibik Yuldashev with the score of 8:0. The fight lasted only one and a half minutes.

In the semifinals, Khalidov lost to F M F S Almutairi Rasheed from Kuwait.

Earlier, Andrey Aktauv (Men’s -55kg) and Rinat Sagandykov (Men’s -67kg) brought Kazakhstan a gold and a silver medals.

Kazakhstan team has 84 medals – 28 gold, 23 silver and 33 bronze. It marks Kazakhstan’s best result in a number of gold medals won at the Asian Games so far.
