Kazakhstani mogul skier Yuliya Galysheva has decided to continue competing and changed a discipline, Tengrinews reports.

Galysheva announced her decision to quit her professional skiing career after the Sochi Olympics. The skier claimed that she was judged unfairly and she had no desire to compete any more. At the Sochi Olympics, Galysheva took 7th place. The score she was given raised a wave of questions to the jury.

“I can't explain why, but it is always this way with Kazakhstani athletes at World Cups and Championships,” Galysheva said after the competition.

Now, Galysheva changed to slopestyle skiing. “It was decided by the Snowboarding and Freestyle Federation. I will continue competing in mogul too, but with a different coach. There are new sponsors and so I will continue my career. I was offered better conditions. Soon, I am going to a training camp in Europe, possibly in Switzerland. After that I am competing in the World Cup in Finland. Those are the plans for now. As for the season, it has not been decided yet,” Galysheva told Tengrinews.
