Victor Hedman, Swedish professional ice hockey defenceman from Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League (NHL) will join Kazakhstan Barys hockey club for NHL lockout, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Vesti.kz. The defenceman has already signed a contract with Astana hockey team. Hedman was drafted second overall by Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He played 61 matches in the regular NHL championship last year and scored 23 (5+18) points when he became the second top goal-scorer of the team among defencemen. One more NHL hockey player Nikolay Antropovjoined Barys club recently. Ust-Kamenogorsk born Nikolai Antropov, who used to play for Winnipeg Jets distinguished himself in the debut match he played for Kazakhstan Club against Czech Lion.
