Kazakhstan’s figure skater Denis Ten became the winner of the 20th Volvo Open Cup, his first competition in the 2013 season, Vesti.kz reports. The Kazakhstan figure skater gained the total of 204.33 points at international figure skating competition ISU Volvo Open Cup 20th that was held in Riga, Latvia. Russia’s Mikhail Kolyada was ranked second and Hong-Kong’s Ronald Lam was third. At present Denis continues to train intensively prior to the Four Continents Figure Skating Championship. Other Kazakhstan figure skaters took part in the competition besides Ten. Young Aruzhan Sagynai, Nikita Manko and Milena Kim showed their programs as part of the Boys and Girls Free Skating competition. However, they failed to win any prizes.
