Kazakhstani figure skater Denis Ten has won the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships 2015, Tengrinews reports.
At the Four Continents taking place in Seoul, South Korea, Ten performed his short program to Caruso by Lucio Dalla and earned his personal best score so far (97.61 points).
“I am relieved that I was able to show high quality skating. The progress is quite obvious and I think that’s what is important for me and for my coach. It is a great start, but the competition isn’t over yet. I’ll try to keep going during the next few days,” Ten told the ISU after his short program.
The Kazakh bronze medalist of the Sochi Olympics was followed by a Japanese figure skater Shoma Uno. Han Yan from China landed on the third place of Men’s Short Program.
After today free skating program Denis Ten was way beyond competition. He got the best total score of the season: 289.46 (97.61 + 100.45 + 91.40). Joshua Farris from the United States who was fifth after the short program got the second place overall with 260.01 points and Han Yan from China retained his third place with 259.47.
