The Olympic Champion from Kazakhstan Alexander Vinokourov is pleased with the route selected for the Tour of Almaty race to be held on October 6, 2013., Vesti.kz reports. "The route that has been selected for the race is perfect; it is not focused on sprinters or mountain cyclists. And it is good for breaking away. I think, the route is perfect. I expect a lot of people to come watch the race and support the Kazakhstan cyclists," he said. Vinokourov said that Kazakhstan would be represented by its best cyclists, including Maxim Iglinsky. "Aleksey Lutsenko, Dmitry Gruzdev and Arman Kamyshev will uphold the Kazakhstan honor during the competition. I think, they all are set on winning," he added. The prize pool of the Tour of Almaty cycling race will make 39 thousand Euro. The winner of the race will get 15 thousand Euro. 20 teams will compete for the prize. EuroSport channel will be broadcasting the race live.
