Captain of Kazakhstan's Astana cycling team Italian Vincenzo Nibali won the Giro d’Italia cycling race, Vesti.kz reports. Colombian Rigoberto Uran of Sky became second in the general classification and Australian cyclist Cadel Evans of BMC Racing Team took the third place. Nibali virtually wrapped up the Giro d’Italia title by winning the penultimate stage of the race on May 25. Nibali attacked the final climb sprint of the 20th stage leaving his rivals behind. Colombian Fabio Duarte came second 17 seconds behind Nibali and Rigoberto Uran finished the stage third. Another Kazakhstan team's cyclist Fabio Aru was 6th at the penultimate stage.
