Cycling: Aleksey Lutsenko gets apartment for World Championship victory

North Kazakhstan Oblast Akimat (oblast’s authorities) has awarded cycling world champion Aleksey Lutsenko with a certificate for an apartment, Tengrinews.kz reports citing North Kazakhstan Oblast Akimat's press-service.

“Akim (Governor) of the oblast Serik Bilyalov awarded Aleksey Lutsenko with a certificate for an apartment,” the authorities reported. “Supported by his teammates, Aleksey managed to show the best result and to finish the championship with a bright victory. Thanks to this victory Kazakhstan national team has made it into list of the world's Top 10 cycling teams,” the governor of the region said at the awarding ceremony.

The cyclist's personal coach Victor Potapov was also awarded with a money prize. And Sergey Kruchina, Kazakhstan merited coach, got “For Substantial Contribution to Kazakhstan Sport” Lapel Pin.

The UCI Road World Championship was held in Limburg, Holland, on September 15-23. Kazakhstan national team’s cyclist Aleksey Lutsenko became the UCI Road World Championships 2012 Under 23 World Champion winning the 177.1-kilometer race. 160 cyclists from 39 countries took part in the Championship.
