Chess: Kazakhstan's Abdumalik among World Championship leaders

Kazakhstan chess-player Zhansaya Abdumalik is leading the standings at the World Youth Chess Championship, Vesti.kz reports. Abdumalik is number one in her 12-year old chess group. The Kazakhstan World Champion played against China’s Chu Zhou Tong in the seventh round. Both chess players scored 5.5 points by then. Kazakhstan's Abdumalik won the game and added one more point to her score. Abdumalik with 6.5 points will play against India’s Vaishali in the next round. Another Kazakhstan chess player Dinara Saduakassova is one step behind the leader of the Championship China’s Xiao Yiyi who is 1.5 points ahead of her. Saduakassova lost to Russia’s Polina Rodionova in the seventh round. At present Kazakhstan chess player shares the fourth place with her nine rivals. Amirkhan Makhanov is the best among Kazakhstan players in the junior age group (under 8), he scored 5 points. He lost to China’s Yan Yu Khan, who scored 5 points as well. Uzbekistan’s Nodirbek Abdussatorov leads the standings in this age group. He won seven times in a row. Kazakhstan chess player Bibissara Assaubayeva is also among the leaders in the 8-year-old group. She has 5 points. Iran’s Motahare Asadi leads the standings with 6.5 points. A ssel Serikbay (5 points) and Ramazan Zhalmakhanov (6 points) are the best Kazakhstan players in the 10-year-old group.
