Boxing: Stevens' promoter turns down offer from Golovkin over money

Kathy Duva, president of Main Events promotion company, who represents the American boxer Curtis Stevens, has turned down an offer from Golovkin’s promoters, Vesti.kz reports citing Аllboxing.ru.
Earlier Tom Leffler, promoter of the WBA world champion Gannady Golovkin from Kazakhstan, offered Stevens to face Golovkin in a fight on November 2 that would be broadcasted by HBO. But the Main Events promoter considered the payment of $300 thousand insufficient for a bout against Golovkin.
Duva says that her ultimate goal is to guide Stevens' career and maximizes his profits, which may mean that he won't face Golovkin in November, but that doesn't mean that Golovkin won't still be on their radar for the near future.
