Media: Astana to offer Italian cyclist 2 million euro a year

Kazakhstan Astana cycling team is ready to offer Italian Vincenzo Nibali a contract worth 2 million euro a year ($2.6 million), Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Sydney Morning Herald. According to the Australian newspaper Nibali has already signed a two-year contract with Astana and will strengthen the team next season. Nibali won the recent Tirreno-Adriatico marathon race, where Astana cyclist Roman Kreuziger came third in the general classification. 27-y.o. Nibali won one of the most prestigious marathon cycling race Vuelta in 2010. This was the most significant victory in cyclist's professional career.
