Kazakh cyclist Yerlan Pernebekov, 20 has died in Ecuador after suffering a stroke, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz. The Astana Continental cycling club was having a training camp in Ecuador. Pernebekov, one of the most talented cyclists of the junior team, was hospitalized after complaining about a strong headache on March 14. He was diagnosed with a stroke and put in an induced coma. He died shortly after that. The Astana team expressed condolence to Pernebkov's family. His family members are on their way to Ecuador to bring the body back to Kazakhstan. The medical tests made thee weeks before showed no health issues.
