Ust-Kamenogorsk will have its own Disneyland

An entertainment park similar to the famous Disneyland Theme Park may appear in Ust-Kamenogorsk in the nearest future, YK-news.kz reports. City authorities have already supported this idea that was put forward by Nikolay Zaytsev, director of Left-bank Ethnographic and Environment National Park. According to the authors of the project, the Disneyland-like park that will be constructed in Ust-Kamenogorsk will be like a small town for children in East-Kazakhstan oblast. It is expected that a 2-kilometer-long railway will be constructed in the park. The train will consist of a locomotive and five cars for 40 persons. It is expected that 11 railway stations will be built along the railroad. Ust-Kamenogorsk Akimat (city authorities) officials said that a small copy of the Silk Way might be built in the Kazakhstan Disneyland. It will duplicate the Silk Way route from Persia to Asia and then to China. The guests of the park will be able to visit a gabion labyrinth, Moon City and Jurassic Park. Besides, there will be a real pirate bay for children. Disneyland project is still under development now. “We are working through the details at present and perhaps something will be changed,” Akimat officials said. Earlier Ust-Kamenogorsk authorities reported that they planned to construct a Stela of Independence, a monument with twenty gold steps. This monument will be built at the crossing of Satpayev Avenue and Zhibek Zholy Street. Moreover, city authorities plan to construct a Sun and Moon monument at the top of Kazakhstan mount.
