The news about Sabina’s coming to Hong Kong excited her fans. She was met very warmly.
In Hong Kong, Sabina attended the New Year 2015 countdown in OlymplanCity and hosted the event together with one of the most popular actors in Hong Kong Kevin Cheng. “Sabina is a marvelous girl. I would like to keep in touch with her further. She has a wonderful personality,” he said.
According to Sabina, she does not regret spending time in Hong Kong, because her main goal was to promote Kazakhstan around the world. Indeed, in a number of interviews the Kazakh dark haired doe-eyed leggy kawaii bearing a stunning resemblance to anime characters confessed that the primer goal she pursued was to represent Kazakhstan abroad. “I want to tour the world representing my country Kazakhstan, particularly as a volleyball player,” she said in an interview in Hong Kong.
When asked about her personal life, Sabina said: “You can ask this question when I am 23. But now I am focused on volleyball. Hong Kong boys are very cute, but I am concentrated solely on volleyball.”
In another interview that Sabina gave while in Hong Kong, she described a guy she could like: "I think there should be personal traits: kindness, good manners, no bad habits and he has to be tall."
As for plans for the year 2015, the young girl interns to pursue her studies and train for the volleyball championships up ahead.
Sabina is in her freshman year at the Kazakh National University in Almaty. The athlete is studying biology and biotechnologies to become a coach. After graduation she plans to get a Masters degree in International Relations. Sabina noted that she always wanted to study International Relations, but could not enrol due to her tight schedule and trainings.
The pretty kawaii from Kazakhstan was caught in the spotlight of the local media and won the hearts of hundreds of thousands of anime fans in Asia and all over the world after she appeared at the nine-day Asian Under-19 Championships in Taiwanese Taipei in July 2014. She completely outshined the volleyball event and has retained her popularity since.
