An official ceremony of awarding the winner of photo contest called Lady of Kazakhstan Police-2011 was held in Astana on January 17. Police sergeant Karlygash Yegimbayeva, accounting technician of the Financial Department of Karaganda oblast Interior Department became the winner of the contest.
Karlygash has been in police for 2.5 years after graduation from the University of Economy, Business and Law in Karaganda. Karlygash Yegimbayeva dreamt of police uniform since she was a child, when she admired the jacket of her father, who was also a policeman.
Her colleagues persuaded Karlygash to take part in the contest of most beautiful police women. According to the 22-year-old winner, she was very pleased to appear on the cover of the department's magazine, but she did not expect to win: “They called me and told me that I won and I have to go to Astana for an official ceremony! I was so happy, because all the competitors were beautiful and deserved the victory. I told my colleagues and family straight away. They are very happy and waiting for me!”
Karlygash is not only a beautiful woman, she also does sports: she has won several judo contests and takes regular classes on belly-dancing. She reads a lot; her favorite authors are Victor Hugo, George Byron and Jack London. “Set a goal and try to reach it at all cost” is Karlygash’s motto.
Media-center of Kazakhstan Interior authorities annually holds the contest of police women of the country. The photographs of dozens of Kazakhstan police women from all over the country have appeared on the covers of Police.kz magazine in the last seven years.
