Miss Asia USA-2011 beauty contest was held in The United States. Kazakh-born Zhazira Nurkhodzhayeva took part in the competition, Tengrinews.kz reports. Kazakh beauty did not become the first Miss, but the jury gave her the “Best Dressed” award. Zhazira, 26, told Tengrinews.kz that she she failed to give a good answer to a question in one of competitions. This effected the final result. “My question was about what I think of Facebook and Twitter. I replied that I consider it an excellent tool for communication with friends from other countries, finding new friends and even running business. I didn’t come up with any better ideas at the time. Others had better questions,” Zhazira said. However, Zhazira managed to get into the list of top ten most beautiful Asian residents of the U.S. The contest was held in two stages: individual interview with jury and the show itself the next day, where each participant was evaluated by national costume, catwalk in bikini and dinner clothes. "The national costume was ordered in Kazakhstan for Miss Earth-2007. I used the same costume in this contest, as I really think it is very beautiful,” she said. Participation in the show became a unique experience for Zhazira. “During preparation to the contest I attended many different seminars, where we were taught the art of make-up, speech and etiquette. In general, I have good impressions. Thanks to everyone for your support,” she thanked. Currently Zhazira lives in Los Angeles, where she works as a model and actress. She has already acted in two movies: A Brief History of Women by Jeff McGary and She Wants Me by Rob Margolis. Miss Asia USA is held in Redondo-Beach, California, for the 23rd time. This year the contest was attended by 24 representatives of 16 countries, including Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, India, Japan, Mongolia. Besides the Miss title, the show has Missis award as well. Representative of South Korea Jaclean Kim became the most beautiful single lady. A lady from Kyrgyzstan Salta Desantiago won the victory among married participants. By Aizhan Tugelbayeva
