Kazakhstan to be represented by Miss Almaty 2013 at Miss Universe

Miss Almaty 2013 Aigerim Kozhakhan will represent Kazakhstan at the international beauty pageant Miss Universe 2013, representative of the National Beauty Contest Miss Kazakhstan told Tengrinews. Miss Kazakhstan 2012 Zhazira Nurimbetova from Shymkent, was initially supposed to participate in this year's Miss Universe. But Zhazira's presence is needed at the national contest of Kazakhstan because she has to hand the crown to the next winner. Both pageants are going to be held on the same day so Kazakhstan had to find a new contestant for the Miss Universe. Aigerim Kozhakhan from Astana is studying tourism in the college of Astana-based Gumilyov Eurasian National University. She won the second runner-up title in Astana city and participated in the national contest Miss Kazakhstan in 2012, but failed to enter the Top 10 most beautiful girls of Kazakhstan. Aigerim decided to try her luck again this year. She participated in the Miss Almaty 2013 beauty pageant and won the title. Now she will skip one stage of the selection and represent her country at the Miss Universe 2013 without participating in the Miss Kazakhstan pageant. Aigerim Kozhakhan. No Kazakhstan representatives participated in the Miss Universe in 2012, although Miss Kazakhstan 2012 Ainur Toleulova was initially expected to go to the international contest. One of the most prestigious beauty pageants Miss Universe 2013 will take place in Russia for the first time ever. The final will be held on November 9 at Crocus City Hall in Moscow.
