Crews of 84 military aircraft and helicopters are preparing a grand air show in Astana for the Victory Day celebrations, Tengrinews reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

The airshow will take place as part of a two-part military parade. The Historic Part of the parade first will involve 36 samples of technology used during the World War II. The Modern Part will then present examples of modern military equipment.

Of these, 75 units of modern aircraft and nine aircraft of the time of the World War II will be involved in the grand air show. It is promised that this will be one of the most exciting components of the military parade in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in Kazakhstan.

"Once foot and mechanized columns of historical and modern part of the parade pass the square, in the sky over Astana there will appear combat helicopters Mi-8, Mi-17, Mi-26, EC-145, military transport aircraft Tu -134, Tu-154, AN-26, AN-72, C-295 and aircraft of front-line aviation Su-25, Su-27, Su-30, MiG-27, MiG-29, MiG-31," the Kazakh Ministry of Defense promised.
